Remarks | Seemed very close but moved at a slower speed similar to a small plane in flight. Visible for close to 10 seconds or more. Long blue trailing jet with outer edges becoming white. Length of object using outstretched hand and fingers spread 4 inches. It blinked off for a fraction of a second, reignited and lost 6 fragments, which vaporized quickly having had their own blue white glow. Main body continued for approx 5 seconds before vaporizing. Trajectory almost parallel to the ground, downward tilt approx 3 degrees. I am an amateur astronomer and astro photographer for about 35 years. This was extremely bright! Closest one I've ever seen. |
